Important Safety Information
Methandienone has no current FDA approval for human use in the United States. It is classified as a Schedule III controlled substance under the Anabolic Steroid Control Act. Anabolic steroids have not been shown to enhance athletic ability.
Methandienone is a 17-alpha-alkylated compound, a structural class associated with hepatotoxicity. Cholestatic hepatitis and jaundice have been reported with 17-alpha-alkylated androgens. Liver function should be monitored during use, and the compound should be discontinued if liver function abnormalities appear.
Important
Non-Medical Use
Methandienone has no approved human indication. Non-medical use falls outside approved indications and carries significant health risks including hepatotoxicity, cardiovascular strain, and endocrine suppression. Product strength and laboratory verification do not establish safety for human consumption.
Potential Adverse Effects
Hepatotoxicity: As a 17-alpha-alkylated steroid, methandienone places stress on liver cells. Elevated liver enzymes, cholestasis, and in rare cases hepatic tumors have been reported with long-term use of 17-alpha-alkylated androgens.
Cardiovascular effects: Methandienone can decrease HDL cholesterol and increase LDL cholesterol, potentially accelerating atherosclerosis. Blood pressure elevation and fluid retention are also common, particularly with aromatization to estrogen.
Estrogenic effects: Aromatization to methylestradiol can cause gynecomastia, water retention, and elevated blood pressure. These effects are managed in non-medical contexts with aromatase inhibitors, though this should be based on individual response.
Androgenic effects: Acne, accelerated male-pattern hair loss, and increased body hair growth are possible. In women, virilization signs including voice deepening, hirsutism, and clitoromegaly may occur and can be irreversible.
Endocrine suppression: Methandienone suppresses endogenous testosterone production, leading to testicular atrophy, reduced libido, and potential fertility impairment.
Conditions Requiring Medical Evaluation
Methandienone is contraindicated in known or suspected carcinoma of the prostate or male breast, carcinoma of the breast in females with hypercalcemia, pregnancy, nephrosis, and hypercalcemia. Caution is required in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, liver disease, or risk factors for either.
Existing cardiovascular disease, liver dysfunction, abnormal blood counts, and other medical conditions should be discussed with a qualified healthcare professional before any consideration of anabolic steroid use.
Monitoring During Therapy
There is no established monitoring protocol for non-medical methandienone use. For any human exposure, liver function tests, lipid panel, blood pressure, and hormonal status should be assessed by a qualified healthcare professional. Hemoglobin and hematocrit may also be relevant at higher doses.
