Important Safety Information
Trestolone acetate is an investigational compound that has never been approved or marketed for human medical use. It was studied by the Population Council as a potential male contraceptive, but development was discontinued. Non-medical use for bodybuilding or performance enhancement falls outside any approved indication and may carry significant health risks.
Anabolic steroids in general have been associated with serious adverse effects including cardiovascular complications, dyslipidemia, and endocrine disruption. Trestolone's potent estrogenic activity means it carries particular risks related to gynecomastia and fluid retention.
Important
Non-Medical Use
Use of trestolone acetate for bodybuilding or performance enhancement falls outside any approved medical indication. Higher-than-physiologic exposure can increase the risk of serious adverse effects including cardiovascular, hepatic and endocrine complications.
Potential Adverse Effects
Trestolone is a potent aromatase substrate that converts to 7α-methylestradiol, an estrogen with high potency. Estrogenic effects including gynecomastia, water retention, and elevated blood pressure are commonly referenced in non-medical contexts. Prolactin elevation may also occur. Management of these effects frequently requires aromatase inhibitors and possibly SERMs or prolactin control agents.
Trestolone suppresses gonadotropin release and endogenous testosterone production rapidly and significantly. This can lead to sexual dysfunction and testicular atrophy during use. Other potential effects include mood changes, irritability, and lipid profile alterations.
Because trestolone does not convert to DHT due to its 5α-reductase resistance, hair loss and prostate-related effects are considered less likely compared to testosterone. However, individual response varies, and this does not mean the compound is free of androgenic side effects.
Conditions Requiring Medical Evaluation
Trestolone acetate has not been evaluated for safety in humans with pre-existing medical conditions. Given its potent estrogenic and gonadotropin-suppressing effects, individuals with a history of hormone-sensitive conditions, cardiovascular disease, or hepatic impairment should exercise particular caution. Existing medical conditions should be discussed with a qualified healthcare professional before trestolone is considered.
Monitoring During Use
If trestolone acetate is used in any context, monitoring of estrogen levels, prolactin, blood pressure, lipid profiles, and hematocrit is important given the compound's known effects. In non-medical bodybuilding contexts, bloodwork before, during, and after a cycle is commonly referenced as a risk-reduction strategy.
Product Care
Storage & Handling
Keep the vial securely stored and protected from conditions that could compromise the product or container. Store at controlled room temperature and protect from light. Inspect the vial and solution before use and do not use a product that appears damaged, contaminated or otherwise abnormal.
Keep all medications and injectable products out of the reach of children. Follow the storage instructions provided with the product packaging.
