Proviroxyl 25 mg is an oral mesterolone tablet manufactured by Kalpa Pharmaceuticals and dosed at 25 mg per tablet, supplied in packs of 30 tablets.
Proviroxyl 25 mg contains mesterolone, a synthetic oral androgen derived from dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Mesterolone is used clinically for the treatment of conditions caused by deficient endogenous androgen formation, including decreased physical activity, libido disturbances, and hypogonadism. It is also indicated for male infertility associated with oligospermia and Leydig cell insufficiency, where it can increase sperm count and improve sperm quality.
In clinical practice, mesterolone is prescribed for androgen deficiency states in aging men, as well as for hypogonadism and infertility. It is for use in male patients only. In bodybuilding and performance-enhancement settings, mesterolone is commonly referenced for its anti-estrogenic properties and ability to increase free testosterone by binding to sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG).
Mesterolone is not aromatized to estrogen and does not impair spermatogenesis at recommended therapeutic doses. Its primary mechanism involves binding to androgen receptors and to SHBG, which displaces bound testosterone and increases the free fraction of circulating testosterone.
Proviroxyl 25 mg is supplied as an oral compressed tablet containing 25 mg of mesterolone per unit, packaged in a 30-tablet format by Kalpa Pharmaceuticals.
Mesterolone is an oral androgen derived from dihydrotestosterone, characterized by high SHBG binding affinity, non-aromatization, and a relatively long terminal half-life of 12–13 hours.
Mesterolone is a synthetic androgen that binds to androgen receptors and to sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG). It is bound to serum proteins by 98%, with 40% binding to albumin and 58% to SHBG. This high SHBG affinity is a defining characteristic that distinguishes mesterolone from many other androgens.
Following oral ingestion, mesterolone is rapidly absorbed, generating maximum serum drug levels of approximately 3.1 ng/mL after 1.6 hours. The terminal half-life is 12–13 hours, allowing for less frequent administration compared to compounds with shorter half-lives.
Mesterolone is not converted to estrogen or corticosteroids. It is rapidly metabolized, with the main metabolite being 1α-methyl-androsterone, excreted primarily in the urine.
Mesterolone has a terminal half-life of 12–13 hours. This allows for once or twice daily dosing in clinical settings, though non-medical contexts sometimes involve more frequent administration.
Kalpa Pharmaceuticals offers several oral preparations with different compounds, potencies, and intended profiles. The main distinctions involve hepatotoxicity, aromatization potential, and clinical indications.
For those comparing oral options, Primoxyl (methenolone acetate) is another non-aromatizing oral commonly referenced for cutting phases. Dianoxyl 10 (methandienone) is a potent bulking oral but is aromatizable and associated with water retention. Anadroxyl (oxymetholone) is another potent mass-building oral, generally considered more hepatotoxic. Turanaxyl (turinalbol) is a non-aromatizing oral option with a different anabolic profile.
The information below is provided for educational reference only. Mesterolone is a prescription androgen in many jurisdictions; medical use requires appropriate diagnosis, clinical supervision, and ongoing monitoring. Non-medical use falls outside approved indications.
In clinical practice, mesterolone is dosed at 25 mg two to three times daily for the treatment of androgen deficiency, and at 25 mg two to three times daily for approximately 90 days for male infertility. Clinical studies in idiopathic oligospermia have used 100–150 mg per day for 12 months. In non-medical bodybuilding contexts, mesterolone is commonly referenced in the range of 25–75 mg per day, though such use falls outside approved medical indications.
| Use Case | Common Reference Range | Frequency |
|---|---|---|
| Medical (androgen deficiency) | 25 mg 2–3x daily | Twice or three times daily |
| Medical (male infertility) | 25 mg 2–3x daily for ~90 days | Twice or three times daily |
| Clinical study (oligospermia) | 100–150 mg per day | Divided doses |
| Bodybuilding (non-medical) | 25–75 mg per day | Once or twice daily |
In non-medical bodybuilding contexts, mesterolone is commonly referenced as an adjunct during cycles involving aromatizable compounds, where its SHBG-binding properties may increase the free fraction of circulating androgens. It is also sometimes referenced during testosterone replacement therapy protocols, though clinical evidence for this use is limited.
Cycle duration in non-medical use varies, with some referencing continuous low-dose use and others describing limited cycles. Bloodwork and medical supervision are advised if any use occurs.
Mesterolone is not aromatized to estrogen, so aromatase inhibitors such as Arimixyl 1 mg are not relevant for managing mesterolone-related effects. Androgenic side effects may occur, particularly at higher doses.
Blood pressure, lipid profiles, and liver enzymes should be monitored during any use. In clinical studies at therapeutic doses, mesterolone did not show significant adverse effects on liver function or testosterone levels.
Mesterolone is sometimes referenced in non-medical PCT protocols, though its role is distinct from selective estrogen receptor modulators such as Clomixyl 50 mg or Nolvaxyl 20 mg. Its non-suppressive profile at therapeutic doses suggests it may not require a PCT for recovery of endogenous testosterone production.
PCT protocols vary based on cycle length, compounds used, and individual response. Bloodwork can help inform recovery strategy.
Dosing strategies and support protocols should be adjusted based on experience level, health status, and bloodwork where possible. The information above is for educational reference and does not constitute medical advice.
Mesterolone is a controlled androgen with endocrine and cardiovascular effects. Medical use requires appropriate diagnosis, clinical supervision, and ongoing monitoring.
Mesterolone is for use in male patients only. At recommended therapeutic doses, mesterolone does not impair spermatogenesis. Clinical studies have shown no significant adverse effects on liver function or testosterone levels at therapeutic doses.
Non-medical use at supraphysiologic doses falls outside approved indications and can increase exposure to androgenic and cardiovascular adverse effects.
Mesterolone is a controlled substance in many jurisdictions. Non-medical use is associated with hormonal suppression and cardiovascular risks, particularly at higher doses.
Androgenic effects may include acne, oily skin, and increased body hair growth. In clinical studies at therapeutic doses, mesterolone did not show significant adverse effects on liver function.
Cardiovascular effects may include changes in lipid profiles. Blood pressure monitoring is advisable during use.
In a clinical study of 250 subfertile men treated with mesterolone at 100–150 mg per day for 12 months, no significant adverse effect on liver function was reported. However, higher doses and prolonged use may carry additional risks.
Mesterolone is for use in male patients only. Pre-existing cardiovascular disease, liver disease, diabetes, and prostate conditions require careful evaluation before any consideration of mesterolone use.
Infertility is a clinical indication for mesterolone use, and medical evaluation by a qualified healthcare professional is essential for appropriate diagnosis and treatment.
Medically supervised mesterolone therapy typically involves periodic assessment of hormonal status, sperm analysis in infertility cases, and monitoring for adverse effects. In clinical studies, serum FSH, LH, and plasma testosterone were monitored during treatment.
Any use of mesterolone should be accompanied by appropriate monitoring and medical supervision where possible.

Answers to common questions about Proviroxyl 25 mg, mesterolone, dosing, side effects, and product specifications.
Proviroxyl 25 mg contains mesterolone, which is clinically indicated for the treatment of androgen deficiency states in aging men, hypogonadism, and male infertility associated with oligospermia and Leydig cell insufficiency. In non-medical bodybuilding contexts, mesterolone is commonly referenced for its anti-estrogenic properties and SHBG-binding effects, though such use falls outside approved medical indications.
For medical use, mesterolone is typically administered at 25 mg two to three times daily for androgen deficiency and infertility. Because the compound has a terminal half-life of 12–13 hours, non-medical use often involves once or twice daily administration.
At recommended therapeutic doses, mesterolone does not impair spermatogenesis and has not shown suppressive effects on endogenous testosterone production. In non-medical bodybuilding contexts, post-cycle therapy is sometimes referenced, though the need for it with mesterolone alone is not well established. Agents such as Clomixyl 50 mg or Nolvaxyl 20 mg are commonly discussed for this purpose.
Mesterolone is a synthetic androgen that binds to androgen receptors and to sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG). It is not aromatized to estrogen. Its clinical effects include stimulation of growth and function of effector organs under androgenic influence, and improvement of sperm count and quality in cases of oligospermia.
Following oral ingestion, mesterolone is rapidly absorbed and reaches maximum serum levels after approximately 1.6 hours. For clinical effects such as improvement in sperm count, treatment cycles of approximately 90 days are typically referenced for a complete cycle of spermatogenesis.
There is no single oral androgen that is universally best. Mesterolone has a distinct profile due to its high SHBG binding affinity and non-aromatization. Other orals such as Dianoxyl 10, Anadroxyl, and Stanoxyl 10 have different potency, side effect, and aromatization profiles.
Both mesterolone and methenolone are non-aromatizing oral androgens derived from dihydrotestosterone. Mesterolone is characterized by high SHBG binding affinity and is clinically used for androgen deficiency and infertility. Methenolone is more commonly referenced in non-medical bodybuilding contexts for cutting phases and is also available in injectable form.
Mesterolone and oxandrolone are both oral non-aromatizing androgens. Mesterolone is specifically indicated for male infertility and androgen deficiency, with clinical evidence supporting its use in oligospermia. Oxandrolone is a 17-alpha-alkylated compound with a different clinical profile and is more commonly referenced in non-medical bodybuilding contexts for lean mass retention.
A single 25 mg tablet represents the standard clinical dose unit for mesterolone, typically administered two to three times daily for medical indications. In non-medical bodybuilding contexts, 25–75 mg per day is commonly referenced, with 25 mg per day representing a low dose.
Proviroxyl 25 mg is labeled at 25 mg of mesterolone per tablet. It is supplied in packs of 30 tablets, giving 750 mg of total labeled mesterolone content per pack.
Yes, clinical evidence supports the use of mesterolone for improving sperm count and quality in cases of oligospermia. A study of 250 subfertile men treated with mesterolone at 100–150 mg per day for 12 months found significant improvement in sperm density, total sperm count, and motility in moderately oligospermic patients. However, results were less favorable in severe oligospermia.
Laboratory testing information for Proviroxyl 25 mg is not currently available in this product listing. Kalpa Pharmaceuticals products are manufactured under pharmaceutical-grade conditions, but independent lab reports are not published for this specific product at this time.

I used the proviron threw out my winter bulker. I just love this proviron it just makes you feel great on cycle. From libido, to the hardness, to not converting to estrogen, to the anabolic well being feeling that we all love.... its just great! I was running at 50mg because i was dosing based on my previous dosing of ugl proviron. Droped to 25mg and it was all i needed. I made the drop when i started having some prostate issuse. So i upped my prostate support, and lowered my proviron dose and all was well. And to be honest the only differences i noticed were positive ones. Like not peeing all night. People always rave about proviron and i do too, but it is a dht steroid and can give you issues that dht steroids bring. Like in my case prostate problems. Start w a lower dose.
