Important Safety Information
Mibolerone is approved by the FDA only for oral use in adult female dogs for prevention of estrus. It has no approved human indication. The compound is a Schedule III controlled substance in the United States.
Mibolerone is a 17-alpha-alkylated steroid, a structural class associated with significant hepatotoxicity. Prolonged or repeated exposure can lead to elevated liver enzymes, cholestasis, hepatic inflammation, and potentially liver failure.
Important
Non-Medical Use
Mibolerone is not approved for human use. Non-medical use falls outside approved indications and carries risks that are substantially greater than those of most other anabolic steroids. Product strength and formulation do not establish safety for human consumption.
Potential Adverse Effects
Hepatotoxicity: As a 17-alpha-alkylated compound, mibolerone places significant stress on liver cells. Elevated ALT and AST, cholestasis, and hepatic inflammation are documented concerns with this class of steroids.
Androgenic effects: Mibolerone has very high androgen receptor affinity, which can accelerate male-pattern hair loss, increase sebum production and acne, and cause virilization in women including voice deepening and hirsutism.
Psychological effects: Aggression, mood swings, irritability, and emotional instability are commonly reported. These effects stem from androgen receptor activation in brain regions involved in aggression and impulse control.
Cardiovascular effects: Mibolerone can decrease HDL cholesterol, increase LDL cholesterol, elevate blood pressure, and increase red blood cell count, collectively increasing cardiovascular risk.
Progestogenic effects: Despite not aromatizing, mibolerone binds the progesterone receptor and can contribute to gynecomastia sensitization, suppressed libido, and prolactin-related effects.
Endocrine suppression: Mibolerone suppresses luteinizing hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone, leading to reduced endogenous testosterone production, testicular atrophy, and potential fertility impairment.
Conditions Requiring Medical Evaluation
Given the severity of potential adverse effects, any consideration of mibolerone exposure warrants comprehensive medical evaluation including liver function tests, lipid panel, blood pressure assessment, and hormonal evaluation. Individuals with pre-existing liver disease, cardiovascular disease, or psychiatric conditions are at heightened risk.
Mibolerone is not appropriate for women due to virilization risk, or for individuals planning to have children due to suppression of reproductive function.
Monitoring During Therapy
There is no established monitoring protocol for non-medical mibolerone use. In veterinary contexts, monitoring is limited to the approved indication. For any human exposure, liver function, lipid profile, blood pressure, and hormonal status should be assessed by a qualified healthcare professional.
