Important Safety Information
Methenolone was historically used in specific clinical settings for anemia due to bone marrow failure, but it has largely been discontinued for medical use. It is not approved for human use today and is classified as a controlled substance in many countries.
Anabolic steroids suppress the body’s own testosterone production and can affect fertility and endogenous hormone balance. Methenolone has been associated with reproductive toxicity in animal studies and is classified as suspected of causing cancer and may damage fertility or the unborn child.
Important
Non-Medical Use
Higher-than-physiologic exposure to anabolic steroids can carry additional health risks. Product concentration and laboratory verification do not establish that non-medical use is safe or appropriate for an individual. Methenolone is a controlled substance and obtaining it without a prescription is illegal.
Potential Adverse Effects
Methenolone is associated with adverse lipid changes, including suppression of HDL cholesterol and elevation of LDL cholesterol. These changes can contribute to cardiovascular risk over time and are often not noticeable without bloodwork.
As a DHT derivative, methenolone can cause hair loss in genetically predisposed individuals. Finasteride is not expected to protect against this effect because methenolone is already an active androgen. Other potential effects include acne, increased aggression, and suppression of natural testosterone production.
Methenolone is not 17-alpha-alkylated, so it is not liver-toxic by that mechanism. However, elevated liver enzymes have been reported in some users, and periodic monitoring is prudent.
Conditions Requiring Medical Evaluation
Methenolone use is contraindicated in individuals with active or remitted prostate cancer, pre-existing prostate hypertrophy with urinary obstruction, untreated hypertension, and untreated dyslipidemia. DHT derivatives may accelerate prostate enlargement, and regular prostate exams and PSA testing are recommended.
Existing cardiovascular disease, abnormal lipid profiles, and other medical conditions should be discussed with a qualified healthcare professional before any consideration of use.
Monitoring During Use
Lipid values, particularly HDL cholesterol, should be monitored during methenolone use. Prostate health monitoring, including PSA levels in men over 40, is recommended. Blood pressure and hematocrit should also be assessed periodically.
Laboratory testing of the product itself is separate from clinical monitoring of the person using the product. Product testing does not assess individual health status or suitability for use.
